★ The network site of Shanghai EASY upgrades On Jan. 10, 2004.

★From Dec. 31, 2003, Mr. Mu Lin, our Quality Assurance Engineer, participiated a 21-day 6 SIGMA Coaching term conducted by Shanghai Quality Management Associateion (Shanghai Zhu Lan Quality Research Institute) in USA.

★The first working meeting to draft the National Standard for Phenolic Molding Compound was held in Xiamen, China from Dec. 11 to Dec. 13, 2003. Teammates studied articles written by competent people regarding the situation of standardization domestically and internationally and the Reform progress of standardization as well. Teammates studied and discussed seriously the translateion versions for ISO 14526-1 and ISO 14526-2 and also had thorough discussion on the scheme how to formulate national standard, the method to adopt standard, how to solicit opinions on the translation versions for standard and the third part of ISO 14526-3 how to validate the test results.

★China National Standardization Technical Commission issued a writ (TC15/SC4 2003-15) on Oct. 20, 2003, informing that two national standards "Denomination of Phenolic Molding Compound" & "Sample preparation & Properties Determination for Phenolic Molding Compound" will be drafted out by Shanghai European-Asian Synthetic Material Co., Ltd. & China National Synthetic Resins Quality Inspection Centre".

★From Oct. 16 to 17, 2003, invited by US Thermosetting Plastics Association and University of Wisconsin, a five-people group headed by Mr. Zhu Yongmao, Chairman of Shanghai EASY attended the 49th Annual Thermosetting Plastic Conference in Madison. Present at the Conference, were many worldwide famous thermosetting plastic producers, molding processers, professors and experts from research institutes and universities from United States and Europe. There were about 145 professors and experts attending the Conference. Shanghai EASY, as the only thermosetting plastic producers from Far-East attended the Conference.

★EA-7501J is a newly developed product of our company, it is a Phenolic modified molding compound, with Melamine and Formaldehyde as basic resins. It is suitable for injecting molding with very good technical, mechanical electric properties and very stable in size of the parts. It is designed for applications requiring good heat resistance, arc resistance and high comparative tracking index. The product has got the UL label with its No. E176036. The main properties can match with the equivalent products of Plenco 00714 from U.S.A. and MP183 from Germany. The material is in the form powder and granular mixed and we can supply colored material at customers' requirements.
